Due to COVID-19, our campus has reopened with half the students on campus at a time.
See the Chrysalis COVID 19 Plan to learn what we have done to meet the needs of our students and watch this 30 minute Chrysalis Reopening Plan webinar for a look at our reopening plan. Read the Chrysalis COVID-19 Operations Written Report to learn how we nimbly adapted our program to meet the state's three requirements: (1) continue delivering high-quality distance learning opportunities, (2) provide school meals, and (3) arrange for supervision of students during ordinary school hours. On August 12 we plan to reopen with half the students on campus at a time. Our COVID Health and Safety Policy is a living document that responds as the requirements and local conditions evolve. For more specific information about AM vs PM assignments, lunch, bus, distance learning options or other concerns, please contact the school directly so we can help!
Our mission: Encouraging the light within each student to shine brighter! Our mission shapes every aspect of Chrysalis — from the small size of our school, to the way we teach, to the close relationships we form with families. While some students shine brightest in our full-time classroom program with experiential learning in all subjects, others shine brightest through home schooling where a teacher works alongside families to design and implement a program tailored to fit the student, with the option of on-campus science, nature, and elective classes. We offer a free public K-8 education featuring:
- Science and nature focus
- Teaching for understanding
- Kind and supportive community
- Your choice between our homeschool and classroom programs
- Bus service to and from Redding
- Before and after school care
